Aluminium extrusion and sheet offcuts
Clean, alloy-separated aluminium production scrap is valuable to remelters because it can go back into similar alloys with little treatment.
What it is
Offcuts, saw cuts, trim and rejects from aluminium extrusions, sheet, plate and castings. Extrusions are commonly 6000-series alloys; sheet is often 1000, 3000 or 5000 series.
Typical sources
- Window, door and curtain-wall fabricators
- Truck body and trailer builders
- Extrusion presses and fabricators
- Electronics enclosure and heat-sink makers
